This exercise exposes the reality of how you are using your minutes each day and where you are weak and strong. This will help you see where you might need to make adjustments in your daily schedule. The over-achievers will see that they are letting first priorities suffer. The under-achievers will see that they can step it up a notch.
Write Down everything you do and an approximate time for how long it took. Continue for a couple of days. The longer you do this the more you will see progress in getting to where you want to be. Do not just write the big things but write down the interruptions-everything. If you change a diaper, write down how long it took. If you stopped at the sink to get a drink of water write it down.
